Steps

1. The Importer should also apply for Plant Import Permit from Ministry of Agriculture

2. The Importer should apply for Tea Import Permit to the Tea Board of Tanzania (TBT), Directorate of Regulatory Services.

3. Importation of Tea to be subjected to Maximum Residual Level Standards (MRLS) for Pesticides as determined by TPRI (Tropical Pesticides Research Institute).

4. Before Importation a tea sample has to be sent to Tea Board for MRLS test.

5. The importer should apply the permit to the TFDA through TFDA online portal
