Afri Tea and Coffee Blenders (1963) Ltd

Afri Tea & Coffee Blenders Ltd traces its origins back to 1963 and is one of Tanzania's oldest and most reputed food and beverage firms. The company started under the ownership of Unilever's Brookbonde Group of Companies but was later acquired by the government of Tanzania under the name Tanzania Tea Blenders Limited. In 2002, the company was privatized by the Mulla Group, which saw it renamed as Afri Tea and Coffee Blenders. It has since grown to become Tanzania's largest tea and coffee packaging company.

Today, the company boasts a diverse portfolio of brands and SKUs that include some of Tanzania's most well-known household tea brands, such as Green Label Tea, Kilimanjaro Tea and African Pride. In addition to this, Afri Tea is also the maker of Tanzania's most famous coffee Africafe, which is widely consumed in Tanzania and in niche markets globally.
