Steps

1. The exporter register with Tanzania Meat Board as meat industry stakeholder

2. The exporter applies for export clearance certificate from Tanzania Meat Board

3. The exporter (owner of quarantine facility) applies for quarantine facility / holding ground certificate from the Veterinary Council of Tanzania
-
4. The prospective exporter applies to the Director of Veterinary Services for export permit attaching import requirements from importing Country and other relevants documents from country of origin

5. Animals are held in a quarantine facility or on a farm under close supervision of a veterinarian for a specified period of time of not less than 21 days prior export for vaccination regime, any disease treatment and dipping procedures

6. Animals are shipped/ tracked subject to the conditions prescribed by the importing country

Movement permit official document used during movement of live animals from one District or Regional markets within the country
